Gold makes us think of rich people. God is very rich. He owns the world, the sun, the moon, the stars and much more. He made them, so He owns them.

Shining gold is something pure. God is pure and holy. He has never said, done or thought anything wrong. He is so holy He cannot allow sin near Him. The Bible says, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord” (Isaiah 6:3).

In the Bible we read about God’s home, Heaven. It is a beautiful place, with no sadness or pain. The streets of Heaven are made of gold. God wants people like you and me to live in Heaven with Him, but there is a big problem…
