| I look so ugly. How can I live up to it? |

 I think I know how you feel. There are times when we just can't stand our appearance. It is especially the case when we go through teenage years. A well-known Christian doctor, James Dobson, wrote that 80% of teenagers don't like their appearance and feel ungainly. See, you are not the only one!
Your body is changing very fast and maybe it doesn't turn out exactly as you want. Specialized doctors can help you with problems like pimples or weight. You need to be patient and accept all these changes. The final result might be much better than you expect.
Now let us step back and think for a minute.
How important is our appearance?
Television and friends are trying hard to convince us that it is essential.
But this is not what the Bible says. Fill in the chart and find out what really counts in God's sight. Boys, be ready to be compared to horses! Girls, be ready for some comments on your hair and jewellery!

 You see: what really counts is inside. Don't forget that when you look at yourself in the mirror. God can make you a great person. You first need to "fear" Him, that is to trust and respect Him. Then He will work deeply in your life through His Spirit and will develop beautiful inner qualities.
I'm sure your close friends will see them, will be impressed and challenged.
Only God can do that. Talk to the Lord about how you feel and ask Him to develop in you inward qualities. He can make a great person out of you!
