Hatred and Betrayal --- Anointment

Mary gave Jesus an incredibly expensive bottle of perfume because she loved him with her whole heart. At that time, a worker would have had to work for 300 days, almost a whole year, and give his entire earnings to be able to buy this perfume. That's how much it was worth!

We can show Jesus our love by doing something that pleases him, for example
- talking to Jesus and telling him in prayer that you love him.
- reading the Bible out of love for Jesus, to get to know him better and understand what pleases him.
- singing songs and playing music to honor God.
- spending your time, like Jesus did back then, helping other people, making them happy, explaining things to them, or listening to them when they are sad...
- working to resolve conflicts and promote peace.
- giving something to the poor and needy.
I'm sure you can think of many more ways to bring joy to Jesus.
