19: A place for you in heaven
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2
In biblical times, when a man became engaged, he would add one or two rooms to his father's house for himself and his fiancée. When he was finished, he would go to his bride's house and get her. He would bring her to his home. The wedding would then take place there. Afterwards, they would live together in the rooms he had added.
Your home in heaven
This is an example that shows what Jesus promised us and what will happen one day. If you've accepted Jesus as your Saviour, He's getting a place ready for you in heaven too.
