A girl with a good advice!

Few words - big impact!

Would you like to help others?
Sometimes a few words can have a big impact.
There is an exciting story about this in the Bible.
A girl had been taken from her homeland of Israel to a foreign country. Now she had to work as a slave for Naaman.
While she was there, the girl heard that Naaman was ill. He had leprosy. This is a very bad skin disease.
One day the girl said to Naaman's wife: “If Naaman would go to see the prophet who lives in Samaria, he could get healed.”
A simple sentence that had a big impact!
To get healthy again! That was Naaman's greatest wish. He soon set off on his journey, with a letter from King Aram to the King of Israel in his pocket. Some servants accompanied him.
Naaman travelled to the king of Israel and handed him the letter. He read : "With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy."
The King got very upset. Fortunately, the prophet Elisha heard about this and sent word to the king: "Send the man to me!“
So Naaman went to see Elisha.
What he then experienced there made him really angry.
Elisha sent his servant to him and told him: "Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River! Then your leprosy will disappear and you will be healed!"
"I'm supposed to bathe in the Jordan River to get well! Unbelievable! Don't we have many rivers in our country that are far better?"
In his anger, Naaman was ready to leave immediately.
But his servants told him: "If the Prophet had asked you to do something difficult, you would certainly have done it..."
"But now he's asking you to do something really simple. Why don't you at least try it?"
Naaman agreed and travelled to the Jordan River.
He entered the water and dipped himself: once - nothing happened, twice - nothing again, three times, four times, five times, six times ... then one last time.
When he came up the 7th time, he was healthy!
Overjoyed, Naaman went back to Elisa and said:
„Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel.“
From now on, Naaman only wanted to serve this true God and sacrifice to him.
Because the girl had told him about the prophet Elisha, Naaman was healed!
But not only that. He came to know the true, living God and began to serve him.
Do you already know this true, living God? Then tell others about him. God can also do remarkable things through your words.
