The bill is rubber-like and limp. It is a “high-tech quality food detector” – an idea of our great and creative Lord!

There are approx. 850,000 small indentations on the inside of the bill. Some of them are geared at identifying whether what the duckbill found is edible or not.

Others are like sensors able to recognize electrical vibrations. The vibrations come from crabs, worms, crayfish, insects and small frogs.
