After His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was betrayed, arrested and condemned to death.
Jesus was led outside the city to Mount Golgotha where He was nailed to a cross. To His right and left two criminals were crucified.
The soldiers beneath the cross divided His garments as a curious crowd stood nearby.
There on the cross Jesus prayed. He prayed not for Himself, rather for the people around Him.
Jesus prayed on the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!”
Even as He was dying, Jesus thought about His enemies and prayed for them.
Pray as Jesus did: Look away from yourself and pray for other people.
You can also ask God to give you love for people that you don’t like.
