Good News for you

Gold makes us think of rich people. God is very rich. He owns the world, the sun, the moon, the stars and much more. He made them, so He owns them.
Shining gold is something pure. God is pure and holy. He has never said, done or thought anything wrong.
He is so holy He cannot allow sin near Him. The Bible says, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord" (Isaiah 6:3).
In the Bible we read about God’s home, Heaven. It is a beautiful place, with no sadness or pain. The streets of Heaven are made of gold.
God wants people like you and me to live in Heaven with Him, but there is a big problem…
It is sin! That is what the dark page reminds us of. Sin is anything you think, say or do that does not please God, like lying, cheating, being selfish or hurting others.
Sin can never be in Heaven.

The Bible says, "all have sinned" (Romans 3:23). That means you and me too.
Everyone is born with a "want to" to do wrong. Nobody had to teach us how to disobey or to tell lies.
God says that sin must be punished. The punishment is to be separated from God for ever in a place of suffering…a place called hell. That is what you and I deserve.
God knew about the sin in your life and mine. He knew that we could do nothing to take it away.
God loves us so much that He sent His only Son into the world to solve the problem of our sin.
The Lord Jesus, God’s Son, was born as a baby. He grew up like you and me; but He had no sin in His life. He was perfect.
He gave Himself to die on a cross. He took the punishment we deserve.
The Bible says, "Christ died for our sins" (1 Corinthians 15:3). The red reminds us of His blood which poured out for our sins.

After three days the Lord Jesus came back to life. He is alive today and for ever.
This page tells us that we can be made clean and pure before God.
Only the Lord Jesus can do that for you and me.
When the Lord Jesus died on the cross He was punished in our place and because of that He can forgive every sin.
If you are truly sorry for displeasing God by your sin, you can trust Jesus to make you clean for ever. You could tell Him something like this: "Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Thank you for dying for me. Please help me to turn from my sin and make me clean before God."
If you trust Jesus, God sees you clean and pure because of His Son. You are ready to live in Heaven.
Also, you receive God’s gift of everlasting life. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
When you see green grass or green plants, you know they have life. When you receive God’s gift of everlasting life it means you have His life in you. You can then grow up to love and please God.
These four things will help you grow as a Christian:
1. Pray: talk to God every day.
2. Read and obey the Bible.
3. Tell others about Jesus.
4. When you sin, ask God for forgiveness.
God promises, "I will never leave you" (Hebrews 13:5).
