We Need Food!
Genesis 41:53-54, 57

The king’s dream came true. It was just as Joseph said.

53The seven years when there was plenty of food came to an end. 54Then the seven years when there wasn’t enough food began. It happened exactly as Joseph had said it would. There wasn’t enough food in any of the other lands. But in the whole land of Egypt there was food... 57People from all of the other countries came to Egypt. They came to buy grain from Joseph. That’s because people were very hungry all over the world.

Only in Egypt was it possible to get food. They bought food from Joseph. That was God's plan.

 

Think!

It was a hard time in Egypt. Does God care when you have hard times? Yes! The Bible says, “Turn all your worries over to him. He cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7).

Make a list of things you worry about. Talk to God about them. Give the problems to God. Now tear up the list and throw it away. Trust God to take care of those problems.

Dear God, I’m glad you care about me. Help me give my problems to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
