Hiding a Baby
Exodus 2:1-3

The king wanted all the baby boys to die.
1A man and a woman from the tribe of Levi got married.  2She became pregnant and had a son by him. She saw that her baby was a fine child. So she hid him for three months. 3After that she couldn’t hide him any longer. So she got a basket that was made out of the stems of tall grass. She coated it with tar. Then she placed the child in it. She put the basket in the tall grass that grew along the bank of the Nile River.

The king´s daughter saw the baby. She wanted to keep him. She named him Moses. His sister was there. She got her mother to take care of baby Moses. Later he lived with the princess. Moses grew up. He moved far away.

Think!

You never know how God might help you! God is in control of everything. He always finds a way to make things work out right. The Bible says, “I will make you strong and help you” (Isaiah 41:10).

This week, look for ways God helps you. He may use other people. He may make you strong when things are hard. Thank God and tell someone else how He helped.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, thank you that you will make me strong. I’m glad You are in control. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
