A Burning Bush
Exodus 3:2-4

2There the angel of the LORD appeared to him from inside a burning bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire. But it didn’t burn up. 3So Moses thought, “I’ll go over and see this strange sight. Why doesn’t the bush burn up? ” 4The LORD saw that Moses had gone over to look. So God spoke to him from inside the bush. He called out, “Moses! Moses!”       “Here I am,” Moses said.

Time went by. God talked to Moses. "Go back to Egypt. My people need help. They need to be free. I will save them". But Moses was afraid to obey God!

 

Think!

Are you ever afraid to do what God asks? Maybe He wants you to tell a friend about Jesus. Maybe you should be nice to a person others don’t like.

What does God want you to do that makes you afraid? Ask God to help you do it this week. Remember, God is with you. He will help you. You don’t have to be afraid.

 

You can pray like this:

Dear God, I’m afraid to (tell Him what scares you.) Help me do what you ask me to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
