God’s Rules
Exodus 20:2-5

God gave His people rules to follow.
2”I am the LORD your God. I brought you out of Egypt. That is the land where you were slaves. 3“Do not put any other gods in place of me. 4”Do not make statues of gods that look like anything in the sky or on the earth or in the waters. 5Do not bow down to them or worship them.

God’s people would have good lives if they obeyed His rules. God wanted His people to worship only Him.

 

Think!

The God of the Bible is the one true God. He knows what is best for your life. That is why He gives you rules to follow. 

God said, “Obey me. Then things will go well with you” (Deuteronomy 6:3).

The most important rule is to love and obey God. Write a note to God. Tell Him you love Him and want to do what He says. Then read your note to God.

Dear God, thank you for giving me your rules. Help me love and obey you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
