God Punishes Sin
Genesis 3:17

17The LORD God said to Adam, “You listened to your wife. You ate the fruit of the tree that I commanded you about. I said, ‘You must not eat its fruit.’  “So I am putting a curse on the ground because of what you did. All the days of your life you will have to work hard to get food from the ground.”

The one true God is perfect. He must punish sin. Adam and Eve had sinned. They had to leave the garden. One day their bodies would die.

 

Think!

Sin is doing things God says are wrong. God hates sin. The Bible says, “Everyone has sinned” (Romans 3:23).

What are some things kids do that God hates? God is perfect. He has to punish sin. But He made a way to forgive you.

Dear God, I know you hate sin. Thank you for loving me even though I have sinned. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
