Jesus’ parents were worried. They finally found Jesus.

⁴⁹ “Why were you looking for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” ⁵⁰But they did not understand what he meant by that. ⁵¹Then he went back to Nazareth with them, and he obeyed them.

Think!

Jesus always respected His parents. He went home with them. Jesus was God and He still obeyed his parents.

God wants you to obey your parents. The Bible says, “Children, obey your parents” (Ephesians 6:1). That means do what they say. Do it right away. Do it with a smile! It is not always easy to obey, but God will help you do it!

Dear God, help me obey my parents today. Help me obey right away and with a smile. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
