John baptized Jesus in the river.

¹⁰Jesus was coming up out of the water. Just then he saw heaven being torn open. He saw the Holy Spirit coming down on him like a dove. ¹¹A voice spoke to him from heaven. It said, “You are my Son, and I Iove you. I am very pleased with you.”

There are many ways the Bible shows us Jesus is God the Son. Two things happened when Jesus was baptized. God’s Holy Spirit came down and God spoke from Heaven.

God wants you to know that Jesus is different from anyone else. He is not just a man. He is God the Son. If someone asks how you know Jesus is God’s Son you can tell them this story!
