⁸Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. ⁹ “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this. ” ¹⁰Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! It is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’”

God should be most important to you. You should not worship or serve anything or anyone but Him. Satan may tempt you to love other things more than God. He may get you to put sports or TV or friends before God.

God can help you when you are tempted. Tell Him about the temptation. Trust His Holy Spirit to give you strength inside to say no. Ask God to help you worship and serve only Him.

Dear God, help me worship and serve only You. Nothing and no one is more important than You. In Jesus’ name. Amen
