Being Angry
Matthew 5:21

21“You have heard what was said to people who lived long ago. They were told, ‘Do not commit murder. Anyone who murders will be judged for it.’ But here is what I tell you. Do not be angry with your brother. Anyone who is angry with his brother will be judged.”

Think!

All of us get angry sometimes. But if you let your anger control you, it is sin. Anger can cause you to do bad things. The Bible says we should be “slow to get angry” (James 1:19).

If you are angry at someone, tell God about it. Ask God to help you forgive and show His love instead. Talk to the person and try to work things out.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, help me be slow to get angry. Help me show Your love to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
