²³“Suppose you are offering your gift at the altar. And you remember that your brother has something against you. ²⁴Leave your gift in front of the altar. First go and make peace with your brother. Then come back and offer your gift.”

People brought their offerings in worship to God. But God wanted them to make things right with others first.

Think!

God wants you to get along with others. He wants you to make things right with people you have hurt with your words or actions.

If you have hurt someone, go and tell that person you are sorry. Ask him or her to forgive you. When you obey God this way, it shows you love Him. Then you can worship and serve God.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, help me show my love for You by making things right with others if I hurt them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
