²⁰But as Joseph was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. The angel said, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary home as your wife. The baby inside her is from the Holy Spirit. ²¹She’s going to have a son. You must give him the name Jesus. That is because he will save his people from their sins.”

God chose Mary to be the mother of His Son Jesus. He chose Joseph to be Mary’s husband.

Do you know what your name means? God named His Son Jesus. His name means Savior. It reminds us why Jesus came to Earth. He came to save us from sin. He did that by dying on a cross. Then He came alive again.
