Follow Jesus
Mark 10:28-30

The rich man did not follow Jesus.

²⁸ Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” ²⁹ Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, ³⁰ who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”

The disciples left all they had to follow Jesus. Now they were part of God’s family. Their sin was forgiven. They would enjoy friendship with God and with other believers.

Think!

If you have believed in Jesus as your Savior, how do you follow Him? You love Him more than anything else. You do what He wants. It might not be easy but Jesus will help you. You are part of His family.

Do you have friends who follow Jesus too? You and your friends can help each other obey God. Ask God to help you both love and obey Him this week.

Dear God, thank you for friends who also follow you. Please help us love and obey you this week. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
