A Changed Life
Luke 19:8-9

⁸ And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded [cheated] anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.” ⁹ And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham.”

When Zacchaeus met Jesus, things changed. God changed his heart. Zacchaeus started to live a new way because he was now part of God’s family.

Think!

As God’s child, your life should change. God wants to make you more like Jesus. What is Jesus like? He is kind. He tells the truth. He loves people. He does what is right.

For you to be like Jesus, God needs to change your heart. As you spend time with God, He will help you think and feel differently about things. When you trust in Jesus, your heart is changed, and you will want to do what is right.

Dear God, please change me. I want to be more like Jesus every day. Thank you! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
