Different People
Mark 14:3

3 And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper [a leper was someone with a skin disease], as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard [jar of perfume], very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head.

Jesus visited the house of a man who had a skin disease. Why did He go to this house? Jesus spent time with all kinds of people. He helped them. He showed them God’s love.

Think!

Do you know people who are different from you?

Maybe their skin is a different color. Maybe they don’t have nice clothes. Maybe they are not good students. Maybe they are from another country. How do you treat those people?

The Bible says to treat everyone the same (James 2:1).

Be kind to people who are different from you. Get to know them. Try to help them. Be like Jesus.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, thank you for loving all kinds of people. Help me treat everyone with love like Jesus did. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
