Show Love
Mark 14:3

³ And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head.

This woman wanted to show her love for Jesus. That is why she poured perfume on Him. It was made from special oil called “nard,” and smelled good.

How do people show they love God? Some give their money to buy food for poor people. Some give their time to help sick people. Others give their talents to build homes for those who are homeless. Can you think of ways someone your age can show love for God? You could give up time with your friend to be with someone who is lonely. You could tell someone about Jesus.

Dear God, thank you for loving me. Help me show my love for you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
