Treat People Right
Mark 14:4-5

A woman showed her love for Jesus. She poured expensive perfume on His head.

4 There were some who said to themselves indignantly [angrily], “Why was the ointment [perfume] wasted like that? 5 For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they scolded her.

These people thought the woman was wasting money by pouring out the perfume on Jesus. They were angry. They did not understand that this was a way for her to show love for Jesus.

Think!

Some people in God’s family may worship or show love for Him in a different way than you do. Does that mean they are wrong? Not if what they do agrees with the Bible. You may not understand, but you can still be kind to them. Jesus said, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them…” (Matthew 7:12). Show the same kindness to others that you want them to show to you.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, help me love people like you do. Help me treat them the way I want to be treated. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
