How’s Your Heart?
Mark 14:6-7
People were angry when the woman poured perfume on Jesus’ head. They did not understand what she did.
6 But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But you will not always have me.
Jesus is God. He knew what the people were thinking. They did not really care about the poor people. Jesus also knew the woman’s heart. What she did was beautiful because she did it out of love for Him.
Think!
God knows more than just what you say or do. He knows your heart! ♥ He knows what you think and feel. He knows why you do the things you do. You might fool people, but you can’t fool God.
Do you love God with all your heart, not just with your words? Do you serve God because you love Him, not because you have to? What does God see when He looks at your heart?

Dear God, I’m glad you know me so well. Please help me love and serve you with all my heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
