Trust in Jesus
Mark 10:23-25

The rich man walked away from Jesus sadly. He did not want to give up his riches.

23 And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

The rich man trusted in his money to take care of him. Jesus said it is hard for people who are trusting in their riches to become part of God’s kingdom (family). It’s like a big camel trying to squeeze through a tiny needle! Everyone needs to trust Jesus to save them from sin. Trusting anything but Jesus will not save them.

Think!

God loves all people. He wants all to be part of His family by trusting in Jesus to save them from their sin. Have you trusted in Jesus? If not, you can start trusting him. If you have trusted in Jesus as your Savior, keep trusting Him for everything. Trust Him to help you each day. Trust Him to give you what you need. Remember, “The Lord is my helper” (Hebrews 13:6).

You can pray like this:

Dear God, I have trusted in you to save me from sin. Help me to keep trusting you for everything else. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
