Not Me!
Mark 14:27-30

Jesus talked to His disciples before He was arrested.

27 And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ 28 But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.” 29 Peter said to him, “Even though they all fall away, I will not.” 30 “And Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Jesus knew his disciples would all run away when the soldiers came. He knew Peter would even say he didn’t know Jesus.

Think!

Sometimes it’s hard to stand for God. When others find out you are a follower of Jesus, they might make fun of you. They might say mean things to you or refuse to be your friend. Would you have the courage to stand for God anyway? The Bible says, “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” (Ephesians 6:10). Ask God to give you courage to stand for Him.

Write a note to God, asking Him to give you courage to stand for Him.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, (read your note to God as a prayer). In Jesus’ name. Amen.
