I Don’t Know Him
Mark 14:72

Just as Jesus said, Peter denied he knew Jesus three times.

⁷² And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

Peter felt terrible! He had not been faithful to Jesus. Jesus knew Peter’s heart, but He still loved Peter.

Think!

Think of a time you failed. Maybe you didn’t obey your parents. Maybe you broke a promise to a friend. Maybe you did something even though you knew it was wrong. What should you do? Admit to God the wrong thing you did. Ask Him to help you stop doing it. God still loves you and promises to forgive you (1 John 1:9). Then ask the other person to forgive you too.

Dear God, thank you that you still love me even when I fail, and will forgive me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
