Crucify Him!
Mark 15:12-15

Pilate wanted to let Jesus go, but the people chose a criminal instead.

12 And Pilate again said to them, “Then what shall I do with the man you call the King of the Jews?” 13 And they cried out again, “Crucify him.” 14 And Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him.” 15 So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Pilate knew He should let Jesus go. Instead he listened to the crowd and sent Jesus to be crucified (die on a cross).

Think!

Does what happened to Jesus seem unfair? He did not deserve to be arrested and put on trial. He did not deserve to be sentenced to death on the cross. Yet all of this was part of God’s plan. He allowed these things to happen so you could be forgiven for your sin. God’s plan is not always easy, but it is always right. You can trust Him.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, thank you that your plan is always right. Even when I don’t understand, I can trust you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
