Crucified
Mark 15:24 + 27

They brought Jesus to the place where he would die.

24 And they crucified him and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take. 27 And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left.

Jesus showed love for His enemies. He even asked God to forgive the soldiers who nailed Him to the cross. One of the two robbers who were also crucified trusted in Jesus (Luke 23:33-43).

Think!

Jesus said to His followers, “…Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute [hurt] you” (Matthew 5:44). He showed us how to do that. It isn’t easy, but you can ask for God’s help. When you pray for your enemy God changes how you feel. He makes you think and act better. Your enemy may even become your friend! Think of someone you don’t like. Start praying for him or her today.

You can pray like this:

Dear God, remind me to pray for my enemies. Help me show your love to them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
