Son of God
Mark 15:37 + 39

³⁷ And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last. ³⁹ And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

As Jesus died on the cross, some people were very sad. Others were probably glad. A centurion (soldier) who watched Jesus die believed He was God’s Son.

Think!

Because of what he saw and heard, the centurion believed Jesus was the Son of God. As we read about Jesus’ life and death on the cross, we can know, too, that He is God’s Son. Everything that was written about Him many years before all came true. God has given us many proofs that Jesus truly is His Son. Have you believed in Him as your Savior?

Dear God, thank you that I can know for sure that Jesus is your Son, who died for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
