Jesus Appears
Luke 24:15-16 + 30-31

Two men were walking and talking about what had happened to Jesus.

¹⁵ While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. ¹⁶ But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. 30When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. ³¹ And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight.

At first the men didn’t recognize Jesus. He reminded them that many years before, things were written about how He would suffer and die and then come alive again. Then they realized it was Jesus who was talking to them!

Think!

The men in this story knew Jesus had died on the cross. But then they saw with their own eyes that he was alive again! It was another proof that Jesus is God the Son. God had men write these things in the Bible so you could know and believe in Jesus too. If you have not done so, will you believe in Jesus to save you from your sin?
