We Saw Jesus!
Luke 24:35-36

The two men hurried back to Jerusalem to find Jesus’ disciples.

³⁵ Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread. ³⁶ As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!”

These were hard days for Jesus’ followers. They knew Jesus had died. Now people said He was alive. They were probably afraid and confused! Suddenly Jesus was in the room with them. They needed His peace!

Think!

We are all afraid or confused sometimes. Accidents, sickness and wars are hard things to understand. That’s when you need God’s peace. Jesus said,

“…my peace I give to you… Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).

God can help you be calm inside. When you are afraid or confused, talk to Jesus. Let Him give you His peace.

Dear God, thank you for giving me your peace when I am afraid or confused. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
