Tell Others
Acts 1:3 + 8

Jesus had some final instructions for His disciples.

3 He [Jesus] presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. [Jesus said to them,] ... 8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Jesus’ disciples were regular people, but the Holy Spirit was going to give them special power. He would help them know how to tell others about Jesus. First they told people about Jesus in the city of Jerusalem and then went around the world.

Think!

Sometimes we call people who spend their lives telling others about Jesus missionaries. Every believer has God’s power to tell others about Jesus. But God may ask you to become a missionary. He could send you anywhere in the world to tell about Jesus. Will you let God use you as a missionary if that is His plan? You would be helping to keep Jesus’ last command to His followers!

You can pray like this:

Dear God, help me be willing to serve you wherever in the world you want me to be. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
