Luke 24:50-51

Jesus returned to Heaven. Now it was time for the disciples to get to work!

⁵⁰ Then he [Jesus] led them [the disciples] out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. ⁵¹ While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

Jesus’ time on Earth was finished. He taught people about God. He died, taking the punishment for your sin. He came back to life. Now it was time for him to go back to His home in Heaven. He would be with God, His Father. Jesus went up in a cloud to Heaven. He sent the Holy Spirit to help His followers obey Him.

Think!

Where did the disciples get the strength and courage to tell about Jesus everywhere they went? The Holy Spirit was with them to help them carry out His plan! He is with you too if you are a follower of Jesus. His power is there to help you obey Him.

The Bible says, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Ask God to help you tell others about Him!

Write a note to God, asking Him to help you tell others about Him.
