Heaven
John 14:1-3

Jesus wanted to comfort His followers.

¹ ”Let not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. ² In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”

Jesus wanted his followers to know He was going back to Heaven. He would be back with God, His Father. One day, His followers could go there too. He was getting a place ready for them in Heaven.

Think!

If you are God’s child, you can look forward to Heaven, too! One day when your body dies, you will go to be with Him. Heaven is a beautiful place with no sickness or death. You will meet Jesus face to face there! Sometimes life can be hard. But never forget that this world is not all there is! God is preparing a special place in Heaven for His followers.

Dear God, thank you for your promise that one day I can be with you in Heaven. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
