Saul hated people who believed in Jesus. He went on a trip to find them and put them in jail.
3 Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him. 4 And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” 5 And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.”
A very bright light stopped Saul. Jesus talked to Saul and asked why he was trying to hurt Him by hurting those who believed in Him. Jesus wanted Saul to know He was God’s Son.
Think!
God cared about Saul and wanted him to believe in Jesus and be saved from his sin. Do you have friends or family members who are not believers? God wants them to know and believe in Jesus. Could you tell them? What would you say? Tell them God loves them. Tell them they can be forgiven when they believe Jesus died for them. Who can you tell today?
You can pray like this:
Dear God, help me care about people like You do. Help me tell someone about Jesus today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
