For All People
Acts 2:38-39 + 41

Before Jesus died, His disciple Peter was afraid. Now Peter had God’s power. He preached about Jesus.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” ⁴¹ So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Jesus did not die for only the Jewish people. He took the punishment for sin for all people. Everyone who turns from their sin to believe in Jesus will be forgiven.

Think!

God wants you to care about people, even if they are different from you. He loves every person in the world no matter what they look like or where they come from. Ask Him to help you care about others. He wants you to show them His love (1 John 4:7). He wants you to tell them about Him so they can turn from their sin and believe in Jesus too!

Dear God, help me care about people like You do. Help me tell them about You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
