Peter knocked on the door where the believers were praying. When they heard it was Peter, they couldn’t believe it!
16 But Peter continued knocking, and when they opened, they saw him and were amazed. 17 But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Tell these things to James and to the brothers.” Then he departed and went to another place.
The believers were amazed to see that Peter was free! Peter told them what God had done. He wanted them to tell the other believers in Jesus.
Think!
The believers were praying for Peter. Yet they were surprised to see he was free. Maybe they needed to have more faith. God wants His children to pray in faith – believing He will hear and answer. God says in His Word, “Call to me and I will answer you …” (Jeremiah 33:3). You can have faith in God. He hears your prayers and He will answer you.
You can pray like this:
Dear God, thank you for hearing and answering my prayers. Help me grow in my faith in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
