Paul and Silas were in jail. Late at night they prayed and sang to God.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened. 27 When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
God heard the men’s prayers. He sent a big earthquake. All the doors were opened. The jailer thought the prisoners had escaped.
Think!
Paul and Silas knew God answers prayer and could help them. As they sang and prayed, they trusted God to do what was best. God chose to use an earthquake! Do you need God’s help with a problem? God may not use an earthquake to help you. But you can still trust Him to help you (Psalm 9:10). He knows the very best way to take care of your problems.
You can pray like this:
Dear God, I know You have the answers to my problems. I trust You to do what is best. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
